rs4 tops out around 80k, the r8 tops out around 112k

 

does he want a lambo or an audi, because the R8 is basically that, too me there the same car, only i can carry a one other person in one and more people in the other, if i were your dad id get the RS4 because its practical.

 

How about the RS6?

 

Hmm, he should buy a lambo gallardo.. essentially the same thing as an R8 but it weighs a little less.

 

RS6 dosent have the option of stick. so 450 V8twin turbo power and no way to have control and fun with it.

 

Wow, lucky guy that your dad is considering either of these machines new.

I also have the same sentiments as above. If space is more important then go for the sedan by all means. If you already have a few other cars in your family for that then the R8 is the clear winner here.

Either way, you're getting a great car. Congrats and i'm jealous by the way :P

 

he luvs his S4 but im getting that now. he just has the problem with the two seater R8. and he looked at a lambo its just common u know to see sumbody driveing that around he want a car that u can whip around every once in a while but then again he wants to speed on a track with not alot of weight idk i test drove the RS4 and its fast really fast the AWD doesnt let these tires slip at all. but then the R8 has like 150 more hp and tq. idk next week my dad is goin to test drive the R8 and so am i bc i havent been in a super car be4

So, this question is just... stupid. The thread seems to serve nearly no purpose whatsoever... other than to announce that daddy's loaded... his son is snagging a free S4... and that neither knows anything about cars.
R8 vs. RS4... seriously? So what, you hope to start a thread... then take all of our opinions to pops, and help him decide? If your dad can't decide for himself between two very, very different cars... then he's got issues.

And what's this about the R8 having 150 more hp and torque? The R8 and RS4 use the same 4.2, making the same 420~hp and 317~ ft/lb torque.

But yeah, you've never been in a super car before (or wait, 'be4'... not sure why you don't save even more time and go with 'b4' but hey, you've got your own style) ... so clearly dad needs the R8.

best part were the attached photos, like people on here don't know what an rs4 and an r8 look like.

 

I just noticed the picture of the RS4 says "family car" on it. LOL.
