05 audi into deep puddle
1.8t went into a massive puddle for about 10-15 yards. The exhaust was fully submerged. The car went through it without a problem. However, should I have the car checked by a mechanic before I drive it again?

if all the electronic gizmos seem to be working fine, don't worry about it. NEVER stop in a puddle, or if you have to, keep the revs up to keep water out of the exhaust.
There was MASSIVE flooding in central NY a few years ago, I was north of it, I only had to deal with piles of rubble that had washed off of hills blocking the road, and a few spots of submerged pavement (although like, 2-3ft under). Was trying to go to work that day because the idiots that managed the place never put out word that the plant was shut down. Ended up with the car trapped on a little island of above water pavement while I pushed other peoples cars out of the way who had drove into the water and then stopped, swamping the car and killing the engine. I made it back home before the flooding was at its worst.
Hiwords and ImtheDevil got the brunt of that, they live where **** really hit the fan.
Thats a section of I-88 that washed out. Pretty nasty.
Oh, and because Im totally reckless, I wanted to know what the big deal was about people not swimming to shore and having to get rescued from flood waters by helicopters. I dove into the river, which had risen probably 12feet, and went from being 20 yards wide to about 250yards wide, swam around a bit, and then tried to get back to land. Turns out, surprisingly difficult (or not a surprise). Was quite out of breath, and was 200 yards down river before I made it back to land.

yes we did. i drove through a foot deep puddle for about 5 yards that year trying to get home. it was pretty crazy and if we had gotten anymore water, they might have even called the military in to form barricades. Matt you are a weirdo lol.
if your car still drives fine, then the car is fine.
