ok...the holidays are approaching and you're going to a friends house for dinner. OR if you're LUCKY, you're going to some lady friend's house. Bring a bottle of wine!
If you're coming to MY house: Chateau St Jean Cinq Cepages 94 to 99 or Opus One 95 - 99 will make me smile.
All kidding aside, if you have a question or just want to list your favorites, this is the place. If you know the answer to a question, then by all means speak up!!
It would be good to add your review as to why you liked it.
Elegant, yet approachable; peppery with a cherry aroma and hints of chocolate, rounded out by a great balance of oak & tannins.

This is a painting by Thomas Arvid. I have 2 of his prints in my wine room.

2 buck chuck FTMFW!

Although I have on occasion taken part in wine tasting, I could not begin to remember the name of any specific labels...

my first year of college was at sonoma state and my friends always had random bottles of local wine laying around...

I got a bottle of cabernet (1997) Ernest & Julio Gallo Sonoma (Barrelli Creek Vineyard) Alexander Valley that im contemplating opening up but i have no idea if i should let it age longer or to open it because its not a top shelf wine. I hear the wine was $40 brand new in 97 so any wine experts out there?

If I had a guide, I could tell you. Barnes & Noble has had a pretty good, 900+ page guide on sale for like $10 for a couplemonths now, but I still haven't picked one up yet...
