I agree with CAB on his comments. But good start with 3 and 4. Also try shooting at ISO100. Thats what I ALWAYS shoot at unless one of two things is relevant: 1. I want grain in the picture to add to the overall appearance or 2. I am shooting in low light w/out a tripod.
