And I dare you to try that experiment with another vacuum adn run the dyson first and the other vacuum second. You'll see similar results.

c'mon now more money does not equal better vaccuum.
I did actually later, the Dyson still picked up more than hers... didn't bother to add more to the already long story - that and the fact that2 months later her Eureka broke and they boughtDirt Devilwhiched lasted a year before it broke

I'm with you on cost, Ryan, it took me a few years before I would consider the Dyson. $500 was alot to spend - but it still works like it's brand new - and we've had itlonger than 18 mos - more like almost 2 yrs.

It's the old saying - you get what you pay for, I guess.

^^ thats how it should be. jk but seriously I don't even own a vacuum ( but I live in a dorm) but my guess would be to buy an old commercial vacuum cleaner. I'm sure they are moderately cheap and they gotta be decent.

I once knew a girl that could suck a pea through a straw (honestly), but I don't think she's for sale... anymore

So FUNNY, and TRUE, story.

My Mom called today and told me that my Wife and I's Christmas present was being delivered today. Can you guess what it was?

A freaking DYSON!!

She's been nagging me to get one for 6mos probably since you bought hers. I kept telling her I dont buy the hype and I had a perfectly good vacuum. I guess she didn't listen.

Now I get to see what the Dyson is really made of.

Oh, and before you judge, I am extremely grateful for the gift.

Lol.

I just looked up some Dysons and I never realized that they were this expensive. Sears has some up to $600.
