Default Urban Assault Vehicle.... and others

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share my little addiction. 100% built by me with the help of my friends. We work on all kinds of trucks out of our shop area so if any NC guys need something fabbed or work done we can hook you up. The Audi is relatively stock because all of the time and dedication that goes into the jeep. So far the specs are...

1998 Grand Cherokee
HP30 front axle, 4.56's, lockright, HD steering
8.8 rear axle, 4.56's, Aussie locker, BTF diff cover
Claytons 4-link conversion
custom bumpers, sliders, skids
A bunch of other junk...

Here are some pics of it in action...

The list goes on of all the crap we have worked on. But the Audi is the daily driver since all of our POS's at the house get 10 mpg, handle like crap, and cost more to keep up than the worst designed german vehicle imaginable. Thanks for looking!

what part of NC are you in? I currently dont have an offroad vehicle anymore, but used to build and wheel trucks all the time. I am in greensboro and am currently in the hunt for a CJ7 to build a nice rockcrawler out of. By the way, those Uwharrie pictures are pretty sweet, i am pretty familiar with that place.

I actually live in Kernersville but work and go to school in Greensboro. Check out www.nc4x4.com if you're looking for a nice CJ project, there is generally one for sale over there.

One of the teachers at school is on a professional rock crawling team, his name is Jason Woodward if you have heard of him. He owns three jeeps and lives right down the road from me. Offroading is so crazy at our school, the teachers do it, and they're good! I'm currently in the euro tuning scene, offroad is too expensive for me as I tend to get Snowball Syndrome (one upgrade leads to another and another). I figure being ina "scene" I only know the basics about with keep my wallet fat and a average level of content with my car.

That sounds inherent to any automotive hobby. Its all a financial black hole. I love it.

Puma... nice hobby. I like the way you cut the doors on your Grand Cherokee. I want one now.
