Hi,
I'm looking for a mechanic who is experienced with Audis in the Westchester, NY area - I live in Yonkers.

I have a 2001 A6 2.7T with about 140k miles on it. It has the following problems:

Check engine light indicates catalytic converter fails
Exhaust system weld cracked, needs new pipes
At least one tie rod
Coolant leak

The dealer, of course, are very expensive. The cat & exhaust are most worrying - what is the best option for this repair - an independent mechanic, or a chain that does exhausts?
