Yetti spotted in Newport News, VA...
Hey everyone!!! New to this, but a huge VW and Audi fan. I have owned a 69 Bug (bagged, and customized to the hilt), an 81 Rabbit, an 84 Rabbit, an 89 GTi (crazy custom), a 91 Jetta (show winner), and most recently I purchased a 1998 A4 2.8 pearl white. I have 18" ADR Propulsion rims and Nexxen N7000tires, 5% tint, DTM exhaust (the dual curved up tips), smoked side markers, drop springs, ABD strut tower bar, brembo rotors, chrome grille, and a killer stereo. (I am working on getting pics!) She is my baby. I do need some help though. My trip computer on the dash doesn't work well. It has lines through it but I did notice that the colder it is the better the screen works. Any suggestions? Let me know. I look forward to chatting with some like minded gear heads. Thanks in advance!

its the lead that they used to bond the ribbon cable to the screen. when it gets hot (and the screen and cluster get really hot) the lead loosens and the cable doesnt make good contact. which is why that the hotter it gets, the worse it gets. some places will repair it, but besides that your only other option is to replace the cluster. goodluck.
