Question Would this work?

Ok Im new here and I wanted to buy an old audi s4 but I didnt want a car with a turbo becuase it may cause alot of problems. So I looked at an old 1993 100 cs quattro for about 2 grand but I heard these are very slow so I was thinking.I checked ebay and found a 1993 Audi V8 quattro engine for about 1 grand(the person claims it runs well)now I was thinking would it work if I had somebody swap this audi v8 engine into the audi 100 now I know these cars are complicated and stuff but would this actually work.

Time, money, and knowledge (lots of each). That's what it takes. You can put an S8 engine in a bass boat if you have enough of all three. But rational people wouldn't set out with that in mind. Your best chance for success is to start with platforms that are currently popular - that'll ensure you the widest knowledge base to draw upon. I don't ever recall seeing in-depth discussion of regular maintenance on cars such as those you mention, to say nothing of modifying or motor-swapping them. You're gonna have to dig very deeply to get this done or really learn about the cars.

What's wrong with a turbo? Did you have bad experiences with them before? Why are you against them? I don't really understand your basis for saying "they could cause a lot of problems." So could anything else. They're just another factor in the car, like a transmission or water pump. No reason to think they're the Antichrist.
