Default What is this "chip" you speak of?

From reading the forums here and at audiworld apparently there is a chip you can put in that will badassify your Audi. Can someone give or point me to some more information on this? It looks like most are for the 1.8T, can I get one for a 2.8 quattro?

Chipping the ECU on a turbo charged car and a NA Car will get two different results. At best a 10 hp increase on a NA car, where as the Turbo charged car can expect to gain 25+ in both hp and torque.

First of all, welcome to the forum factorplayer!

Please be sure to read the SART HERE! link.
You will get the basic lingo, vocab, and terminology that we use on this forum.

The chip is attached to the main engine management ecu, but your 2.8 engine will not benefit as much as a turbocharged engine. Non aspirated engines get greater benefit from a supercharger. The unit from PES is one of the most popular SC's for your engine.

I'm not sure how much torque and HP the supercharger will add, but I agree that it's the most popular way to go with the 2.8. Welcome! Hope you like it here.
