Cool Tires Recommendations--2005 A6 Sport pkg

I'm in a quandary over tires for my A6. 245/40/18 car has the Sport package.

Currently running Goodyear Eagle F1's not a bad tire, a little harsh on the New England roads. The tires I am looking for are All Season, 6 months in New England, so may need to drive in some snow and bumpy roads, and 6 months in Florida, great rain and dry weather, smooth roads. The tires I am considering are:
Pirelli P Zero Nero
Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS
Continental Extreme Contact DWS

I have researched these tires on TireRack, now hopefully you guys in the Forum can give 'real life' experiences running these tires on your A6.

Thanks

ill vouch for the conti DWS.

My girlfriend just got them for her mazda3-unbelieveably quiet and noticeably more grippy than any all season i've used.

we're in MA, so i know way too much about those roads-my p6's are getting a little too noisy for my taste. i'll be getting the DWS for my a4 when the time comes

Thanks for the reply. How were the P6's as far as traction, etc,. How many miles did you have on them when they got noisy?

Thanks

The p6's are a perfectly fine all season tire for my car. grip is more than adequate in all conditions. I've lived in upstate NY, Rhode Island, and MA since i bought my A4, so it's seen quite a bit of snow.

Frankly, they've always been loud. There was a set of P6s on the car when I bought it, that were maybe 1/2 or more worn, so I wrote the noise off to that. However when I replaced them, the new rubber was still excessively loud for what's supposed to be a premium tire.

With the DWSs, road noise is diminished in the Mazda- it's actually quieter than the Audi now. I think on Tirerack when I checked, there was maybe a $15/tire difference between the two, so not much more for what you get.

I just purchased 255/35R-19 Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position XL from tirerack.com and so far they are great. Quiet and pretty good grip. I have to break them in a bit more but so far I love them!
