Hello Audi family,

I am new to this forum and have had my 2001 audi a4 1.8t for under a year now. I am having an issue that no one seems to understand or know the solution to. One day while reversing I accidentally hit a column in a parking garage causing a pretty bad dent on my front passenger side fender. The dent was causing something to scrape the tire so I drove it home and parked it until I was able to fix it. The vehicle sat dormant for about a month without me or anyone starting occasionally to save the battery. As a result, the battery died. I then went on vacation for another 2 weeks with the intention to buy a brand new battery as soon as i got back so i could start using my car again, which I did. The only thing is, now that the dent is fixed and I had a brand new battery put in, the car won't start. There is about half a tank of gas in it and I tried the whole locking and opening the door with my key thing. Can anyone tell me what issue I might be having and how I should go about fixing it?

I was told that I probably needed to get the computer reprogrammed with my key because the date/time.etc were all reset as a result of the batteru dying. Please help if you can, thanks in advance!
