removing the govenor

Willkommen to the forums!
you question isn't going to get a lot of views here in the "New Member Welcome Area". The State Assembly can vote to impeach the governor, or the governor can be voted out in a state election.
anwho, if you have stuck with me past the smart-*** comments, a chip tune removes the speed governor (or at least increases it) however, I'm not sure what is available from the popular tuners for a naturally aspirated 4.2. The other option is vag-com but I'm not positive that it is capable of coding out the governor. I did a quick scan on their site but couldn't find out for sure. i will do some more research and see what I can find. in the meantime try the A6 section or even the A8 section (A8 has the same 4.2)

Or a special recall election can occur if there are enough petition signatures....

now that we've had a Civics lesson (thankfully not the Honda kind)...
confirmed that you CANNOT change the speed limiter (governor) with the vag-com. chip tuning is your only option (as far as I can tell)
