a while back i signed up when looking for an avant for my wife... we ended up getting a b5 passat wagon, and absolutely love it. then i ended up selling a set of s4 wheels we had on the passat over here... and now.... we finally own an audi.

some of you may have read this over on audizene... at the end of september, we ended up buying a D2 A8L from my boss. we got it at what i would consider a good price, it came with the major work done in the not too distant past (TB/h2o/brakes/cats/pollen filters ). Pretty much anything it ever needed, from the tranny replacement under warranty at like 35k to new turnsignal bulbs, was documented, and done by the dealer.

it's never been wrecked, although it had the hood/bumper repainted from stone chips. the body on it is pretty much flawless, as is the interior. right now it's rolling on the stock monoblocks, but this winter i have a person lined up locally to polish them for me.

the thought has crossed my mind to do suspension on it... but it rides so nice right now, i almost dont want to mess with it... although after seeing pics of mike k's bagged 8... it makes it hard not to want to drop it on bags.


anyways... here are a few pics (these are from before i bought it, but are the same other than removing the front place holder (for crazy8s one of these days) and putting on a europlate... thats pretty much what it still looks like...

anyways... like i said, a re-introduction of sorts for me... this time i'll prob. be asking real questions, as opposed to be hawking my stuff. ;-)

 

cool.. the passat looks great with those gli wheels.... the a8 is clean too, i'm just not feelin' the wheels....
