Default please give input!

okay i just wrote this all and i understand it looks awfully long but i need the help so pleaseee if you know audis at all or anything pleasee inform me

okay so heres my situation, i have this civic that im sorta getting over and i really want a new car now in my searching ive noticed that the 97ish-2000ish a4s go for like 5-6 grand (around my ideal price range) but my dilemna is i really wanting something like..newer if your gettin me...like not getting someone ELSE's car.. but yeah sooo some questions i have are (and i know this may be the wrong site because i have a feeling you could all be a little biased on the whole audi name, but
1. are these cars gonna hold up and still give me a couple good years of life left after being 10 years old with 100-130k miles??

2. my biggest deterrant is i dont know about how much it would have to be for maintenance stuff like ive heard that parts are more expensive than benz's but i thought i had noticed in some quick researching its not necessarily the parts but the labor that costs (which if this is the case are they that bad to work or something??) and please keep in mind im not a person to buy a 30,000$ car technically considering im a 17 yr old junior working at best buy.. so im probably not audi's targetted customer...

(and i understand some maitenance could be useful when i get it and id probably try to get it like tuned up and flushed or something maybe, but basically i need to know if if i get this am i gonna have to redo something that costs 1500$ 6 months later (my worst nightmare)

but yeah please, pleaseee give any advise or help you can, you dont know how much it would be appreciated im so indecisive and have so many ideas running through my head about my next car so please let me know if i should forget about audis or not. thanks for your time

I have a 96 A4 with 198K on the engine and it still runs and looks great. Audi's will last a loooooong time if you take care of them. One in your millage range should last you through college.

As for maintenance it can get pricey, over the two years I've owned my car we've put about $2500 into maintenance items such as Timing Belt, PS rack replacement, etc. Not all of these are common problems but are thing to look out for.

as for labor, if you find a good indi shop or can turn a wrench owning an Audi isn't bad in that respect.

also a little beter grammar and sentence structure could help clarify your questions. I had to read you post a good 4 times before I began to understand what you were asking for.

All in all I would suggest that if your parents are helping you a bit on the financial side, get an Audi, if your on your own 100% then look for an old firebird/camaro/mustang. with a V8 and have some fuuuunnnn for cheap. And those things are real easy to repair and parts are super cheap.
