Default Number Plate Light and Front Light Units

Hi All, Can sumone help, have recently just bought a new Y reg 225nhp tt, 42k on clock with a history of no serious faults, however today i noticed sum condensation in my fron light unit ? Should i be concerned, and also occassionally the number plate light remains on and has killed the battery ! is there a switch to turn this off as i lock the car, please help one very worried new auidi tt owner

you obviously have a shorted wire to the number plate light take it apart and clean all the terminals, mist in the head lights is common but easily fixed by resealing the glass/plastic with a thin coat of silicon sealant
