Default Newbie from So Cal

Hey guys, I've been the proud owner of an 05' A4 1.8T Quattro for about a year now. Looks like there is a lot of good info to be had here. I guess I came here to get a some info on how to speed up my A4 a little. I would really like to increase my HP and acceleration (since the a4 1.8's are very slow off the line). I do however currently have a lease with the car till next year so I don't want to do anything to radical that will void my warranty, etc. Any ideas?

Also I have the BOSE 6 disc that comes prewired for satellite radio. Apparently it is wired ready for XM. Has anyone been able to hook up Sirius through a normal audio installer? I don't want to go through Audi since they would probably charge $1000 for it! How much would it cost?

I uploaded an image of my recent trip to Mammoth and the thousands of carcasses the adorned my grill when I got back. haha Sorry but it's the only picture I really have of my car.

Hey Hey,

Welcome! I'm very new myself, but in the same situation. I just purchased my A4 with a 2 year warrenty, and I don't want to mess it up right now. It's your own decision, but the first thing I'm going to do to mine engine wise is chip it. I'm looking at the APR ECU upgrade. Feel free to check it out here. To my knowledge, you will not be able to do anything to the ECU without a shop knowing that you tampered with it. It's because you have to dremel the rivets on the hard case to the unit, in order to remove the screws. Someone please correct me if there is another way.

APR ECU Upgrade

Anyways, best of luck, and welcome!
