whats up everyone,
I currently on my second A4 2.8 Q 97 leather/sports/winter 5spd, my first was a 96 (I unfortunalty totaled my 1st one) i currently have 140,000 miles on the second, i got it with 120,000 on it (college student) so far i have done the timing belt control arms water pump, and just some older car mantaince that costs an arm and a leg.
I am looking to sell my car now and get an 00 1.8 and make it my project car. I had some questions though if anyone could help me out- the 00 comes 150hp stock and thr 01 comes 170hp stock why is that? also what is the best chip (giac vs. apr etc.) for that car. Also the spec on the turbo if i get a used audi with 68,000 miles on it
i would appreciate all the advice i can get.

welcome to the forums man best chip is GIAC

 

they came with k03 sports and had different programming to run .3 bar more boost. also they added variable valve timing. and ya giac is best for b5's. welcome to the forums
