Newb in need of opinions/advice.
Hello,
First day on this site, I am a member on another site (explorerX.com, a Ford Explorer forum).
I currently own a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4 with a few mods. But i am tired of having only 2 doors and a ride that feels like I'd driving a tractor.
I am looking into either purchasing a 2002-2005 Explorer or an Audi A4/A4 avant, A6/A6 Avant/allroad.
I assume most of you out there wont know a whole lot about Explorers but that is fine, please educate me on which is a better choice for Audi, the A4 or A6.
I would want the 1.8T quattro manual in A4.
Not sure which engine in the A6/allroad Quattro (auto or manual is acceptable here tho i prefer manual).
i have driven an allroad with the 2.7T and loved every minute of it.
To sum this up, which model is more reliable, lower maintenance cost and which would suit the needs best of someone looking for
comfortable ride, fun to drive (fairly quick and nice cornering), enough space to carry sports gear/luggage and 5 people comftorbly and suits a 19 year old the best.
Thank you in advance,
-Brad

RE: Newb in need of opinions/advice.
hey they are both great cars man, the A4 is just smaller than the A6, the 1.8t is a great motor when the right things are done to it to make it quick where the 2.7t is quicker stock... both are great options man its hard to tell what would be best for you
