Hello my name is Matt and I am 1 day into my 3 day extended test drive. I should be buying this 1997 A4 Quattro 2.8L 5-speed.. its is black with tan leather and is a beauty.
my only concern is that is a 10 year old car with 110k miles. i believe it should only be around 90k. it only had 1 previous owner and they took it in for service every 20k and it looks, sounds, runs, and feels great. the dealer put on a new clutch, brakes, and tires. im buying it for 10k.

I will be taking it into my local Audi dealer on monday but is there anything in paticular i should be concerned with? i am thinking about getting the extended warranty because I know it will be expensive as hell to work on and id like to feel a bit safer about the car. I do have a special situation and this is one of the very few can afford. should i be worried? any advice at all will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

timing belt/ tensioner/ water pump, the warranty is a sound idea but read the small print and 110k is average miles based on 12k miles a year set by the dealers and sounds like a very nice motor

 

thank you! now do u know approx how much it will cost me for the timing belt/tensioner/water pump? it says the car was last taken in for service at 96,000 miles. i hope they changed all that but i have no way to find out, or do i?
