New guy here...
Hello!
I come from a land of turbocharged, all-wheel-drive 4 bangers...aka DSMs. I actually moderate one of the national DSM forums, so I'm not your average n00b.
I joined the forum as I am in search of an Audi to add to my car arsenal. More specifically, an 2010 Audi S4. I'll ask more specific questions in a different forum.
Looking forward to finding out as much as I can about the car(s) before I decide on my purchase.

Welcome DSM 97 GSX!!!
Ironically I just came from the land of turbocharged, all-wheel-drive 4 bangers, as well. Although I did not own a DSM, I owed an MMC. Two of them to be exact, an 05 WW EVO VIII GSR and an 06 WW EVO IX MR. I had the VIII first and she was riddle with issues so I sold her and 6 months later bought the IX MR. And unfortunately I lost the IX MR to a drunk driver back in February of this year.
I have literally owned my 2006 Brilliant Black B7 Audi A4 for less then two weeks now and absolutely I love her! Surprisingly she has a lot of get up and go for being an Audi and more of a luxury car. She's even an automatic and I've very impressed and happy with her.
I will have another Evo though don't worry, just waiting for that "right" one to come up. I bought my Audi to help me with the daily grind of life because I work two jobs. I plan on keeping my Audi as a daily, so my Evo can remain mint. haha.
Anyways, its great to meet like-kind on this forum. The people on here are super helpful and nice, they are not stuck up at all!!! There are a lot of great sections and sub sections you can look into to get well informed.

Ha...hello fellow Mitsu gearhead!
I definitely love me an Evo. However, I already own 2 DSMs, a 97 GSX (my "race" car), and my '91 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. I can't see owning another performance car at this point in my life. I'll end up selling the Talon whenever I decide on the Audi I want.
If you're so inclined, I put all of my car mods and a picture of the GSX in my garage. Go take a look see and let me know what you think.

Ello fellow Mitsu gearhead!! It is very nice to meet like kind.
I can definitely understand what your saying about not wanting another performance car at this point of your life. I think had I not unwillingly lost my 06 WW IX MR, I probably would not want another one as well. But because I did lose it when I wasn't ready to, I think that's what drives the passion to have another.
But do not get me wrong.... I do love Layla a lot. It was definitely the change I was looking for and wanting. She's a great car with a lot of get up, even though she is a luxury car.
Oh and I did check out the GSX in your garage..... Very gorgeous!!!! Love the color.
You can see all my cars on my facebook. Seeing how I do not have either Evo anymore I'm not going to start a garage album for them.

So, back into the game trying to figure out which one I want. I'm browsing the depths of the internet trying to find my perfect Audi. I'm deciding on an Audi A4, or possibly an A6. I decided against the S4 as I already have my performance car and don't need another one.
I'm trying to find the differences between the B6 and B7 A4s and the visual/mechanical problem differences between the two. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for when it comes to purchasing my Audi? I'm finding several A4s with less than 75k for $10-$12k. I'm just torn on year. I'm not versed on options between the years or which years have more problems/less problems than others. EDIT: I'm looking at the v6 models.
Any help is appreciated.
