I've been car shopping for a couple of months now and came to the conclusion that I want a B6. My current ride is a 98 Eclipse GS-T (anyone interested?). I've found this A4 not too far away and have already put down the deposit. I go to pick it up on Saturday.

These book for low to mid 20's at KBB, which is well below the purchase price. Is this odd? What did you pay for yours?

Also, what should I type of problems should I be looking for, if any, when I go to pick it up? You all know these cars in and out and I don't.

Are those tail lights aftermarket or modded stock OEMs? It looks like they removed the red lense around the top like the amber mod in the B6 head lights.

CarFax is clean. The average mileage is 13800 over 3.5 years. The first year it had 18000 miles, damn.

Tell me what you think. Hopefully I be able to contribute to this forum if everything goes well.

The only thing that worries me is the 47k mileage on a 2004. I know the warranty is gonna run up at 50k. What should I have looked at or done before that?

 

You can always look into purchasing an extended warranty. Just look into the service records and make sure they are up to date and the car has always been taken care of.

 

Well, I can't pick it up on Saturday now because its at the dealer getting "maintenance" performed. I called the dealership to see what was being worked on. It has a coolant leak, flange leak, thermostat needs replaced, new battery and new coil pack. Should I be concerned?
