Hey guys, my name is Sean. Figured it was time to get familiar with popular Audi forums. I used to have a civic, now currently own a 1997 A4 going under a lot of construction. Picked this car up for $300 pretty much not running, blown suspension, and neglected body. Since October I have been trying to get it where I want. I have a lot planned for this car, but I always appreciate input and opinions from other people. I'm sure half this site is opposed to stretched tires and unnecessarily low ride heights, but it's the world I'm in and couldn't have more fun with it

Old Civic

The day I picked up the car. The suspension was rusted and falling apart

1996 Euro trunk, s4 tail lights, and coilovers

Picked up some BBS RS' (Those are being rebuilt with bigger lips)

S4 headlights and thanks to a friend I replaced my bumper with a fully shaved s4 front bumper and s4 side skirts (not pictured) Next is shaved fenders + paint

The other day

Looks nice slammed like that. What coilover setup did you use? I was thinking about doing the same thing to mine.

Vogtland coilovers. I have plenty of room to keep going down in the front also. It rides so well. I never hit anything but my front bumper on a frost heave or something like that. I am yet to hit the oil pan.

Willkommen to the forums!

congrats on the car. you seem to be making good progress with mods. we're a pretty laid back bunch. we have a few slam/stretch/poke guys on the board (NickBroderick). I think for the most part, we will tell you if we think your car looks like **** but respect the fact that it is your car and you can do whatever you want with it.

be careful going too low. oil and trans pans are notoriously fragile for the lowered folks. you might want to invest in a panzer plate.

blah, blah, blah, need to be on air, blah, blah (me giving you a hard time)

have fun

Ya I actually bought clear corners off some kid across the country and when they got here UPS managed to break one of them. I got these for a good price to replace the original headlights which were missing parts from the last owner. Eventually I'll do clear corners, but I have a lot a head of that on my list.

Thanks man, appreciate the input. And ya like you said it's my car so while I enjoy everyone's opinion in the end I'm doing it how I want. Not to say that opinions don't ever change my mind lol. I love the versatility that b5s offer. The EK civic group didn't leave much in originality when it came to common body mods.
