RE: New B5??
well, think of it this way, everyone here is an enthusiast so most of us are going to tell you to get a stick (for me personally I wouldn't care if I lived in San Francisco and had to drive those hills with traffic. I'd still get a stick) but you might not want that so it all comes down to do you want to have a clutch, be able to chose when you shift and feel the rush as you do a nice heel-toe downshift into a righthand sweeper. Or do you want to just through it in D and forget about it.

Do you have a hellish commute?
I've been in SF traffic before, and it's really rough on the left leg.
(clutchitis)
An auto will be very nice for this.
On the other hand.
If you've been primarly amanual transmission driver, and you expect that the tiptronic will fill the void, it wont...or at least it doesn't for most people.
Hope this helps???
I probably didn't help much?

Nice choice of car. Do you plan to mod the engine? If so, manual if probably the way to go.
If exterior is all you care about, automatic transmission might fill your need.
Just my opinion and suggestion.
Good luck on whatever you're deciding.

I've been leaning to the manual, I DONT have a long commute or any of that stuff mostly driving in my hobby
so I love shifting thru gears. The manual sound like my perfect choice, the place where I plan to buy has it listed
at 10,950 with 55K. IS that a good deal. Better than the first Audi I looked at wit 91K on it.
