New to the Audi
Hey all,
I figure I'd introduce myself here before I start asking all about my new ride. I just traded in my Land Rover DII (very sad to let her go, BTW) for a 2003 A4 Quattro wagon in 3.0. It will be my wife's daily driver and my secret performer when she isn't looking! I'm no expert mechanic, but I love the DIY thing and have already learned so much from lurking on this site that I just had to join (seeing all the pics helps too).
Oh, did I mention we bought it ten days ago and haven't driven it since? It's been in the dealer's shop since day-one due to a botched TB job and subsequent misfire/CEL problems. They have replaced many, many parts (under warranty) so I am in no rush to get her back - as long as we get her back in top form, all will be good.
I can't wait to drive it - there are roads around here (Catskill region of NY) built specifically by euro-performance owners (or so it would seem)!
Thanks for the great site and I'll check in once we get the d*&n thing in our driveway

Willkommen to the forums
congrats(?) on the car. hope the dealership gets everything sorted for you. Plenty of good information to be found in the forums here and some nice helpful people. one word of caution, don't expect too much, performance wise, from your 3.0 be sure to keep up on routine maintenance and you are sure to have many happy miles
good luck

Danke!
Yes, congrats are in order, she'll be fine - we realized the vibration after 2 miles of driving, so nothing major happened. And yes, we won't be racing any TT's or anything, but compared to pushing the Rover around these winding, mountain roads, which is more like driving a house with a lawnmower engine, it is light-years faster than anything we're used to.
Auf Wiedersehen!
