Default New A4 Quattro Owner

Well I bought it about three months ago. 2003 Audi A4 Quattro, Sport Package and Winter Package. Black with tan leather and a five speed tiptronic.

So far so good. My latest cars were a Passat GLX and then a Maxima. I swore off VW's after having a terrible problem with the power window regulators and having to fix them repeatedly, but missed the handleing so I decided to give the Audi a shot. I Love the sure footedness in the snow. Of course, the rear passanger regulator failed witing 60 days of purchase and with less than 50,000 miles on the car. Honestly, I believe the item is desinged to fail, that the manufacturers made it to fail. I digress, I will save my conspiracy theories for another post.

I have already found the site to be a tremendous resource. Look forward to owning a AUDI for years to come.

Thanks for the welcome andfor the compliment, riding is my other passion. It has a rip saw track, loves the powder.

As much as I like AUDI, i fell they screwed me around on the regulator, told me that because even though warranty was out on years by 8 mos, that since it was under in mileage, if the failure was due to manufacturer's defect that they can extend good will and pay for part or all of it. The service tech said it shouldn't have failed but Audi still said, sorry, we are not going to extend any aid for the service or the parts. Cmon, you can engineer a turbo charged internal combustion turbo charged engine to run in excess of 100,000 miles, but a rear passanger window regulator that is used sporadically ...? Bottom line is in every other line of cars, I have never had a window regulator fail. I am gonna take them to small claims. Let ya know how it turns out.

for them to care enough to design a new one, enough proof has to be provided that it is faulty and it has to be worthwhile to them to design a new one. but good luck with that. might wana mention the lcd screen in the dash, coolant flange, oil sludge, sunroof, etc... as well lol
