Hi! I just bought my first Audi last night. It's a 2002 1.8t quattro. I stumbled across this site last night after bringing home the new baby. The check engine light and EPC light came on during our drive home. And then today it stalled out and had to be towed to the dealership! I love the car even though it's already given me grief! Anyway, that's the scoop . I look forward to being a part of this community.

Welcome to the forums!

Congratulations on the new purchase and sorry to hear about the problem.

Any updates on the problem from the dealership?

The dealership fixed the cam sensor and some vacuum leaks($700), then said it needs the crank sensor ($800 part $700 labor) and then a transmission wiring harness ($600). We only fixed what it needed to get home and now it's parked. We don't know what to do with it. THe car was $7600 so to put $3k into it right off pretty much sucks. But we also aren't sure the dealership was truthful with the crank sensor. So for now it's parked. Any thoughts?

You should make a thread under the B6 section for better responses. You can even ask the guys from the B5 A4 section since it gets more traffic there. They should be able to further answer your questions and give you some help.

Best of luck!
