NEED HELP WITH TIMING BELT REPAIR
99 A4 2.8L quattro - 150k miles. Ireplacedmy water pump with a remanufactured unit per the Chiltons instructionsincludinginstalling a new timing belt (without the spec tools).The engine started on first test and ran great but just a hair rough on idle. furtherexam showedone cam sprocket is off 1 tooth.After2 more attempts I have successfully screwed up thetiming to the point i can notturn the crankshaft more than a 1/4 turn. BothCamshafts turn freely, but can be blocked from rotating,bothCamshafts turn freely. HELP!!
