Midwest Member Introduction: Black 2005 S4 M6 in Fox Lake, IL
Hello ladies and gents!
My name is Robert, and I have been a automotive enthusiast for some time now. I currently own a 2005 Audi S4 sedan, which I just picked up last week, a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT with a lot of performance work I have done to it, and a 2003 Ford Explorer that I have also done a lot of performance work to as well. I am trying to control my urge to mod the heck out of the Audi, so for now I only plan to do a catback exhaust and ECM tune. This isn't the first german car that I have owned, but it is my first Audi. I am not new to wrenching on cars, and have done some pretty heavy projects in the past on other vehicles from mere boltons, to full A-Z fabrication of turbo and supercharger systems; and also GM and Ford custom ECM tuning.
I bought the Audi as my newer replacement winter/fun vehicle for my outgoing 2002 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4. I wanted something that was newer, in better shape, AWD/4WD. and a bit more fun. I have always been envious of the Audi's I have seen around here tearing it up having a blast in the snowy winter weather while everyone else just putted around.
I am curious if it would be possible to find the previous owner of my car too. Perhaps he/she was an Audi fan and on this board as well? Mainly, I want to get a better history of the car and any repairs done to it. Namely, if the timing chain guides have been replaced recently or not?
It is good to be here, I look forward to meeting some of you who are in my neck of the woods and checking out your Audi's that are bound to be much cooler than mine; since mine will remain mostly stock.
Robert
