Just picked up an '01 in MN. A few questions.
Hey, I just signed up after buying an '01 S4. I'm loving it so far.
The car has 100k miles on it. The previous owner had after market wheels on it, but put the stock wheels with old tires back on to sell it.
I have a few questions after driving it some more:
What are the chances the car needs tie rod work at that mileage? Sometimes it pulls to the right and I'm not sure if it just needs an alignment and new tires or if it's a sign of something more sinister.
Also, it has a Clutch Masters stage 3 clutch. When I let the clutch out, it doesn't grab at all until the pedal is nearly all the way out. When it does grab, it grabs well without any slipping. I'm not familiar with how Clutch Masters clutches perform, so I'm wondering if it's normal for them to grab so late or if it's a sign the clutch is too worn and will need replacing soon?

Welcome to the forums.
Your question will be better answered in the dedicated S4 section else where on the forums.
Any suspension part can give up anytime around 100K+. Control arms are a known problem for our cars so check for those too.
It seems like your clutch is normal. As long as the clutch isn't slipping, I think you're in great shape.
