Just bought my 2002 a4 quattro
Just as the title says i recently sold my 2007 tiburon in hopes of finding something nicer. I have always wanted awd with mn winters and always wanted a turbo also so i got the best of both worlds.
it is a 2002 a4 quattro charcole grey 92k miles 5 speed- i paid 7325 after everything was said and done.
it needs some cosmetic stuff and also plan to look into intake/exhuast/indash screen/tinting/painting rims and caps just a start hopefully i will find all the info i need on here

Willkommen to the forums!
seems like you have already discovered some of our more helpful sections. performance mods are always fun, just be sure you have the foresight to plan for "problems".
good luck
have fun

I'm sure that you can find a lot of good information in the stickies of the A4 sub forums. The turbo in the 1.8T was really not added to the engine to make it a "performance" car per se. It is relatively easy to eek some more performance from the engine by having it chip tuned with no other modifications needed. If you are looking to get even more out it, there are other options like bigger/better turbo, bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors, bigger FMIC, etc. Those should be laid out in the stickies in a lot more detail than I can provide here. Just bear in mind, the car was engineered to be relatively safe and reliable with "stock" power. As soon as you start adding power you are going to start putting stress on the rest of the drivetrain. with 92K miles, even at stock power, some of the mechanicals are likely to start showing their age.
if the mechanicals of the car are good,

luckily like i said most of the interals were *looked over* when the water pump and timing belt was changed right before i bought it. but of coarse that is a dealer saying that so who knows. i'm not looking to make this a super can would just like to add small amount of *safe* (by safe i mean a amount that should put to much stress on stock parts)and allow it to make some more turbo noise and whoose haha. right now my only plans after doing alot of reading are test pipe, and a k&n stock filter with maybe a few cheese grates..
