i am turning 16 in 15 days and i have around $5,000 and i would like to know if that would be enough money to buy a good a4. If not could you please suggest a better car for me. Thank you.

obviously its going to be scond hand for 5000 but i would suggest maybe
an old mitusbishi eclips for that price. or you may fin somewere out there
a a4 but the old 1998-99 model. if your lucky.

true true. in america the second hand cars are usually expensive because they are good condition because they last long in this weather lol. and the new cars are cheaper! i moved to california from the UK last year!

 

Define good. It's all relative. The guy bagging on a $5000 car just forked out $30,000 for a brand new '08.

I just spent less than $5000 on a 97 2.8 and have been more than happy. If that's your budget you can do a heckuva lot worse for the money.

 

42,000 actually! i wish it was 30 lol! i wasnt trying to put down the older A4's i just thought you wouldnt get one in good condition 4 that price! but if u can good on ya! its ya first car anyway fella so cant complaine : )

Hey whats up guys, another newbie here. Just wanted to say after having passats all my life, i finally gave into the a4 and i picked mine up for under $4500, at a public auction. its a 99 1.8t quattro, with k7n, h&r coilovers, bbs 17" wheels with bridgestone tires, and a bunch off other goodies. The car rides better and is in better condition than my ex 2002 passat. Oh did i say it was a 1 owner dealer trade in. The only bad is 153k miles but youd never know it by driving it.

So i dont see why he can get a nice audi for under 5 grand.
