I recently purchased a 2002 A6 Avant 3.0 Quattro. I love it!!!!!!
What all could possibly cause the transmission to go into limp mode? The gear selector is highlighted. The car is traveling in 3rd gear. I hear no strange mechanical sounds or vibrations. I would like to see what you guys have come to know.
