Hello all,

Just joined the sight and have started doing some research. I owned a 00 jetta glx vr6 a year or two ago and I loved that car, but I've always wanted an Audi so now I'm in the market for one. I've been looking at alot of 98-00 A4's with around 100-120k miles on them. All have had the 1.8t that I've looked at. I've been making sure they have all maintenance up to date especially the timing belt.

Anything I should be looking out for in particular?

Also the one I am probably going to be buying at the end of the week is a 99 A4 1.8T Quattro. Its got 110k on it and its a 5 speed. He has receipts for a bunch of recent work which inlcudes: timing belt, water pump, brakes, ABS module, serpentine belt, spark plugs, new engine seals. Oh and the clutch was replaced awhile ago (when the car had 80k on it)(all other work was done within 5k miles). The asking price is 5450. Does that sound like a good deal? body is mint and it has new Michelin tires and the interior is mint too.

Any input or advice or things to watch out for before I make a purchase would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
