High mileage 97 A4

High mileage 97 A4

How likely is it that I can get a 97 A4 with 175,000, do an engine rebuild and be ready for parts upgrades? I want to give it a full overhaul, just over time. 100% performance.

Which engine are you talking about? The 1.8t or the 12V? Welcome to the forums btw.

That's pretty high on the odometer. You can probably get a used long block off one of the other forums with a lot less mileage really cheap.

For the money you'll spend, you can buy Jeff's or TomRitt's A4.
