HI
Hi,
I just joined the site. I bought a audi a3 2.0TDi 2 yrs ago and have just got the go ahead from the wife to start modifying it. As far as I can tell the 2.0TDi has a large amount of scope to improve power and torque etc.
I've been using supermarket fuel for ages (Originally the car was bought as a general run around) but I am wanting to change. Being a novice, what do people recommend?
I have just bought a K & N induction filter and hoping to fit it soon. Not sure if it comes with a heat shield or if I will have to buy one separately.
I want to put Xenon headlights in, can I just change the bulbs or doi need extra kit?
I'll be back with more questions soon.
Matt

The first step would be to chip it. That'll be your initial biggest gains. Careful because that TDI will quickly become a torque monster.
You can then keep going with bigger injectors, but they are a PITA to get to compared to the 1.9 TDI. Obviously improving the intake and exhaust have benefits too. You may want to check out TDIClub.com as well for the very technical questions. Those guys are amazing.
Cheers!
