Hello,
So this is my third Audi, but my last one was a rather old and rusted Audi Fox. And I got rid of that more than 10 years ago - These new Audis are massively different.
Just picked up a A6 2.7 (2000) in really nice shape, but I it has a few issues I am going to have to deal with - The biggest is that it is time to change the timing belt, but that does not worry me, I've got pro help to get through that chore and I will replace anything that is even questionable while I'm at it.
But, this new ride has window issues: I haven't even search the forums yet but I'm quite certain that this a common problem - Driver and passenger windows seem loose in their tracks and the windows won't alwasy go all of the way up - If anybody can point me at a good thread about this it would be appreciated.
Next I have broken Front R CV boot - Question here is: do I replace just the boot and try to clean everything real well or is it better to just replace the entire axle assembly - Again, a thread on this would be helpful.
Otherwise I'm pretty jazzed about this Car - its not as fast as my other car but it still puts a smile on my face when I press the go pedal.
Oh, BTW 93K on the car...
