Greetings from Southern California
Hello! I actually do not yet own an audi yet am currently in the process of trying to find an avant. I usually reside in Iowa but am in Orange County for the holidays to spend time with my family, and would prefer to buy here, as the cars haven't seen bad weather. I'm hoping for some help with regards to what I should be looking for in buying a used Audi. I'd like for it to be a 2005 a4 avant not a 1.8, manual transmission. I'm not overly concerned about miles in southern california since they are usually freeway miles but wouldn't want more than 110K miles on it. Any suggestions or should i post in the type specific sub forum?
Regardless I'm excited to buy an Audio and have drooled over them for 12 years since I got my license

Wilkommen to the forums!
check the sub-sections of the forums. the stickies are a good place to start for common problems and what to look fors before buying. Audis are nice cars but definitely require a bit more in the care and feeding department that what you might be used to coming from an Asian import or domestic vehicle. Some of the basics to look for are maintenance records and general impressions of if the car has been well cared for. If the inside and outside look like they have been neglected, it is probably a good bet the engine has been neglected too.
good luck
have fun
