Default Glad to be part of the Audi community again (2010 S4)

My previous Audi was a 2006 A4 2.0T, which I lease returned in 2008. Due to travel work I haven't had a real car for the last two years, but it was time to jump back into a fine piece of German engineering now that I'm back home.

I went into the dealership where I knew some of the folks and I had purchased from before expecting to lease a 3.2 Quattro A4 at invoice...

...but once I saw the S4 I knew an A4 wouldn't but it anymore.

I've got to say they gave me a killer deal. The S4 was fully loaded with the prestige package, rear sports differential, adaptive cruise and B&O sound. The MSRP was $55,700.xx, and my final price was high $52,900 or so. The real killer though was they gave me their buy-rate on the lease, which .00081. They also threw in unlimited Saturday morning details ;-) I only bring up these figures because I was really happy with the service I received, and if any of you are in California and need an Audi I would love to refer you.

Now on to the real story...the car itself. Wow! The true testament to this car is that as beautiful as the interior of this automobile is, I didn't really fall in love until I hit the freeway on ramp. I got the manual 6spd, and cycling through the gears on her are an absolute dream. The handling is brilliant, and the torque at 3500 is unreal.

I got this car over the 335i convertible because I prefer Audi's build quality, and as I mentioned a few moments ago Audi has outdone themselves with this interior. I prefer the leather and suede combination over the full leather, the stereo is sublime, the quality of the components scream quality.

I've only put 100 miles on the car so far, but I plan on driving to Napa this weekend and really plan on putting this car through the paces then. It will be tough passing infineon on the way up and not taking her onto the track!

Bottom line, this car is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, with the real champ being the engineering on the powerplant and how Audi delivers that power to the driver.

Please feel free to ask any questions or provide suggestions on how to really enjoy this automobile (routes along northern california).

Have a great day!
