When the insurance totaled out our '04 Passat 1.8T GLS (which had replaced a 2001.5 model) we replaced it with a silver '01 A4 1.8T Q Avant. Fewer miles than the Passat, good maintenance records, TB already done, and now no monthly car payments.
The only issue (and not one at all for the Mrs., the primary driver, who never used it in the Passat) is that the Tiptronic is disabled. Neither the shift lever nor the wheel buttons work. The trans seems fine, selects gears the normal way. I can live w/it, too, it just bugs me when something doesn't work.
