Default Finally dipped a toe into German auto engineering

Hola,

I'm Quinn, and over the weekend broke down and decided to see if there really is a difference between German and domestic. Gave up my '03 Grand Prix for an '01 A6 2.7T Quattro. Mostly gonna be here looking for modding tips. The '01 was a little older than I was originally gunning for, but in the area I live in it's exceptionally difficult to find anything other than a truck or an SUV (68% of all vehicles in this area are some form of pickup or SUV according to polling figures). I found some '02 A4's for roughly the same price (without quattro), but this A6 only had 37,000 miles which is ridiculous for a 6 year old vehicle...and it was almost completely loaded. Plus only had one owner, clean Carfax with good maintenance records, and it wasn't that godawful dark green color. God bless friends who can get into dealer auctions.

Anyhow, seeing as how the car is older than I was aiming for, I want to deck it out some. Custom wheels, HID's, I want to lower the car, chip it, install a satellite-slash-GPS unit, maybe re-do the leather (which has had the misfortune of being exposed to the California sun for 6 years), etc.
