Default electrics problem

Good morning. I have an Audi A 4 2002. I have an intermittent electrical fault. The electric windows, interior light, map light, central locking, boot light and electric boot mechanism do not work.I have to lock the doors using the key. The mirror adjustment and folding works along with the red light at the bottom of the doors. If you leave the car in the sun for a couple of hours everything works. Sometimes as you are driving, you hear a click, which sounds like a relay and everything then works and it is back to normal. can anyone help?? Regards. Peter Hickman

I think you may have answered your own question. Sounds like a fuse, stuck relay issue.

Thanks for your response Deitus.
I have my doubts it is the fuse as the fault is intermittent and I have checked all the fuses for a bad connection, so a relay is more likely. Have you any idea where to find the relevant relay, how to get to it and how to test it, fix it (dry solder joints?) or replace it?
Many thanks. Peter (Big Ears)

To be honest, I'd let a good independent Audi mechanic poke around for you. Another thing may be moisture getting to a relay or control unit because you said it clears up when the car's in the sun. See this video. Not exactly your scenario but this may take you in the right direction.
