I have a audi tt 1.8t 225 bhp 2001! I had it washed at a garage last week and everything was fine for about a hour, on my way home the stereo said error then all the lights came on in the dash then the car just died?? It would not restart and the battery light was flashing and saying fuse?
The recovery people said its the alternator? But they didnt do anything? Seems strange after having it washed?
HELP!! Already had the cam chain tensioner replaced, and the head skimmed etc its costing me a fortune!!!

 

Did water leak in to the interior of your car?

 

Hi, its possible? I wasnt in the car when they cleaned it! Stupidly!!

 

if there was water on your passenger side floor board area it could be a cracked ECU that allowed water to get in frying your CPU or other circuits in there im not to familiar with the TT tho but its something to check
