Brand new Noob here:)
Hi All Audi Noob here, migrating in from the 90-96 300ZX world. Unfortunately I don't have my car yet, so there are no specifics to share, but I'm waiting on a callback about a 99 2.8 Quattro 5-speed, for sale by a guy I work with. I've decided that it's time to move on as I'm not as enamored with the Z as I used to be, and after owning my Z for eight great years, I want a change, and the A4 is looking like it'll be the new indulgence.
After eight years of modding the Z, I'm not looking so much for another potential powerhouse, as just a nice car that's reasonably quick and fun to drive, and which won't rip my gonads out through my wallet when it comes to servicing and working on the car. Being that I have done all the work on my Z, from mods to routine maintenance, I have the tools and experience to feel confident in tackling the mechanicals on a car that I haven't yet worked on, feeling that between the resources and available experience on this board and the service manual I'll buy once I have my car, I should be in good shape to learn the car. So with that in mind, I'm anticipating that the maintaining of a basic A4 Quattro with only mild mods (ie, breathing and suspension) should be relatively painless. Hopefully I won't have to eat those words
Anyhow, just wanted to say Hi, and hopefully I'll have my car shortly and can begin becoming part of the Audi scene. Please remember I'm a Noob here, so if I do or say or ask something dumb, please be gentle when you set me straight
Thanks!
Jeremy
