Bonjour, peoples.
New to this forum. Long-time lurker on Audiworld and was pointed here by a German friend of mine. Hope to get some good info here on my car. 2001 A4 1.8TQTS, Brilliant Black. Only thing I've done to it (besides tinting the windows, mandatory on a BB) is put in a Tip Chip. I plan on selling it before I return home to the states in January 2006. Until then I'll enjoy my black beauty as much as possible.

Woohooo!!
Welcome to the forum! Let's see some pics of it on foreign soil.... please???
BTW: What kind of tinting is available in Germany? I'm curious because tinting is one of my favorite subjects and I compile as much info as I can on the subject. What's the brand and % tint? How satisfied were you with the install? Was the price good?

RE: Bonjour, peoples.
This probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but I got it tinted in the states before I arrived here in Germany. Not sure of the brand because I had it done by a mom and pop shop back in Virginia Beach, but the tint is 50% front 35% rear, the legal limit in Virginia. It's not all that dark, but it's better than nothing. I wish I could tell you what kind of tinting is here in Germany, but it's probably very similar to that in the states. I've seen plenty of cars on the road with bubbly, purple-ing tint that makes me want to vomit.
As for the pics...I do have some pictures, but they're here at my dorms on-base, and they're not particularly interesting. I just got a new Canon A70 and will be anxious to try it out around the country, as this really is a gorgeous place.
