Audi sudden acceleration 2006 A6
I was involved in a crash with my 2006 Audi 2006. When the car is at idle or waiting at a stop light, it is possible to depress the brake pedal below the accelerator.
CRASH WITH MY 2006 A6 !!!
I was stopped at a traffic light on a slight hill. The car in front of me was approximately 10 feet in front of me. My car suddenly accelerated forward at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of the car in front of me. Upon investigation, I found the design of the car allows the brake to go to the floor with pressure applied. My foot on the brake must have engaged the accelerator as it passed the accelerator. As the car started to move the harder I pressed, the faster the car accelerated. I had to force the gear shift into park to stop the engine since I did not realize I was pressing on both the brake and the accelerator.
I believe that this design is faulty and very dangerous. If I had been on a city street, the result could have been horrific
