Default Audi A80 troubles

Hi forum members

Please help. I own an 1995 A80 "Competition", a lovely car but it's causing me grief and the local Audi service people don't want to know me.
I bought it in 2001 second hand and I have just found out that the R/H shock absorber was replaced just prior to my purchase. In 2002 I had to relace both shock absorbers, and now they have failed again. I only drive on sealed surbusban roads. The car has never been in an accident and the people who fitted the last lot of shockers say it's not their problem and the Audi dealer that supplied the parts say its not their problem. So 5 shockers in less than 3 years and I'm on my own

After you put the shocks on dose the ride get better and then go away slow, or all at once? Also have the springs ever been replaced? If they are weak letting the shocks bottem out, or work more then need to would couse the shocks to go away fast. Just a thought.

Yah Id be thinkin that your springs are toast either that or their after market lowering springs which put more stress on shocks because of the lower ride height...
