Audi A4 Cabriolet 2.5 TDI CCM problems replaced still doing the same thing
Hi All, I have a perplexing problem
The electrics started doing odd things like heating control switching off and on again, the windows, door locking system, boot/trunk manual latch not working, indicators, internal dash lights and the engine cooler fan keeps coming on and off randomly all the time.
A new CCM was diagnosed and it was replaced, the old unit was dry and looked fine but it was clicking when things were going on and off. So I had it replaced.
It worked fine for two days and then the faults started happening again exactly the same.
I have done further investigations myself and found the following:
Rear number plate light, left has gone, looks like it has had water in it or it has blown tried to get it out but could not, left t because I did not want to ruin the screw head, could it be this?
The boot has water in the bottom a small amount
There is water under the carpet on the drivers side not excessive but the sponge carpet underneath is damp so clearly water is coming in (UK Car so right hand drive, may be opposite to the US it is not the side with CCM that is dry)
I have notices that sometimes when the window is open drivers side, water comes in the window and drips on to the window control buttons, could this be it?
I took out the panel on the dash board and had a look at it it seemed fine and plugged it back in and it did not change.
I had to replace the battery because it had run down something must have been draining when it was left, it looks dry under the battery which I know can be a fault.
The aerial amplifier has gone, could that be the water getting in the boot and damaging it and causing it to short?
The air con has been disabled because it has seized the engineers have taken the belt off the engine that drives the air con unit should they have done something else?
As I mentioned a confusing one can anyone help?
