Default another new geezer

The new geezer would be me! I actually own 2 audi's, but its the difficult one who spurred me on to ask the people who will no doubt know. I have and A4 Avant 1.9tdi (wonderful) and i also have a 1985 gt5 s, (not so wonderful). Well that maybe harsh, but having purchased said gt5 s to complete the crumball 07 rally (www.crumballrally.co.uk), she is giving some cause for concern on the reliability front. very lumpy runner at low revs and a flatspot a mile wide. I was told to try a rotor arm from a 2.2 but any other advice would be appreciated as this had little or no effect. the carb, distributor, leads and plugs are all ok.
By the way, to any car mad idiot who fancies a week touring eaurpoe with like minded numpty,s in a car worth £200 or less, the rally does still have limited spaces and will be loads of fun. visit the site and see what you think.
