I have a noise that appears to be coming from my transmission. It sounds like a helicopter. It only happens when Im in drive. Meaning the faster I go, the faster the noise gets. when I stop the noise stops. Wont doit on idle, park, or neutral. Originally thought it was a belt, pulley, etc but removed bumper and all was fine. The noise is coming from like the transmission side. Any Ideas???

One thing I did notice was that the when I had the car up the driver front wheel had some play on it, and when i would turn it, it kinda makes a similar noise from the same area. Related?? Has anyone had similar issue. My friend(Mechanic) said he checked the oil level and it was fine and that it might be coming from transmission, but im not convinced as it shifts smooth and has no other weird activity.

You probably have a bad wheel bearing.
